Your Hosts at Ash Creek Ranch
Gary and Nancy Fisher have owned Ash Creek Ranch for more than 30 years. From parents, grandparents and great-grandparents they inherited a love of the land and nature and an awareness of the importance of good stewardship in the fragile environments that must be preserved for future generations. Both have Bachelor's Degrees from Chadron State College.
Conservation and good stewardship have been their goals from the beginning. Integrated weed management, rotational grazing, forest thinning, development of water resources, and wildlife management are a few of the tools used to make Ash Creek a sustainable, working ranch.
Gary and Nancy have three children and nine grandchildren who all enjoy fishing and swimming in the dams, wading in the creeks and hiking the hills and canyons on the ranch. Though Gary passed away in 2021, Nancy continues to manage the ranch.
